The rocket kit has arrived! Time to start this journey.
Unboxed the rocket kit and inventoried all the parts. Everything looks good and accounted for. Excited to get started on this build!
Organizing components and planning the build process.
Reviewed the instruction manual and laid out all the parts. Created a checklist of tools needed and planned the build sequence.
Assembling the main body tube and structural components.
Attached motor mount, centering rings, and internal structures.
Attaching and aligning the fins for stable flight.
Critical for flight stability. Will use a fin alignment jig to ensure perfect 120° spacing.
Installing the parachute and recovery hardware.
Setting up shock cord, parachute attachment, and ejection charge protection.
Making it look cool with paint and decals.
Primer, paint, clear coat, and custom decals. Going for a cyberpunk aesthetic obviously.
Final inspections and flight readiness verification.
Center of gravity check, swing test for stability, motor fitting, and recovery system test.
The moment of truth — sending it to the sky.
First flight! Will document everything with video and photos. Fingers crossed for a successful launch and recovery.
